Liebster Award

Thanks so much to lifewithdes for nominating me for Liebster Award! I’m so happy to be acknowledged for this, especially as I’ve just recently started blogging. The Liebster Award is given to bloggers by bloggers in hopes to discover and find new bloggers, and the rules are:

1.) Why did you start your blog? Starting a blog was an idea I’ve always had in the back of my mind. It just wasn’t until December of 2017 that I started to have this burning desire to actually be active in the community. I wrote a whole post on why I am starting this journey in the first post I published. (Introducing my blog)

2.) What is your favorite book & why? Eat Pray Love. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve read this. Okay, honestly, I’ve only read it four times… I always find myself wanting to read it again every other month. I am so attracted to this book because of my wanderlust. I want to go on a journey like the author and find balance with my life. I have this whole vision where I backpack Asia for 6 months after finishing undergrad. India will be my last stop, where I will unwind, absorb everything I’ve learned, and discover the answers to philosophical questions to life. Eat Pray Love is what fuels that desire.

3.) What is your biggest accomplishment? I have a lot of ways I could answer this but, I’ll choose the most recent accomplishment. I finished fall semester with all A’s. I felt so happy, and I don’t think I would have been offered a scholarship for spring semester if that had not happened. There were soooo many times when I wanted to slack off, shut my notebook, and call it a night. But somehow I survived! The key is to persevere.

4.) What is your biggest goal for 2018? Tone my body.

5.) Who is the most influential person in your life? No one really.

6.) Describe your dream vacation? When my future husband and I jet off to our honeymoon destination, the Italian Riviera. We’ll drive through the coast in a rented convertible, explore local shops, taste exotic wine, sunbathe at a nude beach, and attempt to converse with the locals in our broken Italian. We’ll have the time of our lives there before settling down. This won’t be happening any time soon. I’m getting sad as I type this so I’ll stop here haha. 😥

7.) Which non-profit organization is most important to you? Pencils of Promise. I know there are so many issues happening in this world, but education is something I will always uphold. It is so important, and, personally, I value education above all. I am forever grateful to have the chance to immigrate and learn in America, though I do believe it’s a bit messy. One of my biggest goal is to aid in building schools for children in rural areas of Laos. I support Pencils of Promise for that reason, and I wish to work with them someday.

8.) If you had a limitless budget, but could only buy 5 things, what would they be? the Tesla Roadster, a private island with amenities, 10% of Tesla shares, fund to pursue a law degree, and lastly use the money to build as many schools possible throughout the poor regions of the world.

9.) What is your favorite way to relax? When I am feeling stressed out from school work and need a break from reality, I hop in bed and watch a Korean variety show called Running Man. The cast never fails to make me laugh. I forget all my worries, and the enjoyment I get from them refreshes my mind.

10.) If you were stuck as one age for the rest of time, which age would you want to be? 21, it is the perfect age.

11.) Lastly, Describe your blog aspirations in one word? Influence.
